I see comments stating the submit button doesn't work even when the math is correct. Keep in mind multiplication and division are calculated before addition and subtraction! Fun game!
Reply from Rick: I haven't yet seen a correct equation that doesn't work. Anyone who believes they posted one that was correct but doesn't work, please post it.
You do have to keep order of operations in mind.
Thanks, :-)

my son is learnig adding/substracting atm, i would love to let him play with your mahjong, but he cant cope with multi/div. can you make it an option to have +- tiles only?
Reply from Rick: It's something I should add... I'm hoping I can make some updates over the summer. I've been crazy busy so it's taking me longer than it should.
Thanks for playing,
Rick
very good idea for teaching maths but the submit button hardly ever works even when the maths is correct.
Reply from Rick: Can you give me an example of something you thought should work but didn't?
Thanks,
Rick
Perhaps a shuffle button especially for when there are no equal signs left.
Reply from Rick: Typically Shuffle doesn't change what's on the tiles, just their location... but changing the type of tile might be a good way to add a shuffle button in this game.

It would be nice if there could be some bracket so we can make such thing as ((5 * 5) / 6) +2 = 152
Reply from Rick: Brackets would be nice, but the problem is they take up tile space both in the submit tiles at the bottom, and the pyramid of tiles at the top. It would also be easy to get rid of them by just throwing them in at any place you like (5+1)=6.
It's something I've considered, but at this point I'm not sure how I could do it well.

I would like to see neg numbers, but enjoy game enormously...great work.
Reply from Rick: I have tried to add negative numbers, but it introduced a bug in my parser. I'd like to add it when I get a chance to figure out what the problem was.
Thanks for the kind words and the suggestion, :-)
Rick
and could this be made multi-player?
Reply from Rick: I've thought about that, but I'm not exactly sure how... turn based perhaps?
Thanks for the suggestion, :-)
Rick
they should add negatives and fractions. thats gonna be more fun
Reply from Rick: I agree, but both of those were difficult to add, so I put them off. The lack of negative numbers is particularly embarrassing for me :-/
Thanks for the suggestion :-)
Rick
They should add negative numbers.
Reply from Rick: I tried adding them at one point, but it was buggy. I'll try to add it back in when I get a chance to track down the problems.
Thanks for the suggestion, :-)

Math-jong should have parenthesis.
Reply from Rick: I agree, but I'll also need to add more tile slots. I tried to add it, but it didn't really work because I only allow 9 tiles. I'll need to make a version that allows more tiles before adding parenthesis will really work.
Thanks for the suggestion,
Rick :-)
